They're those corners of the world that you just can't get out of your mind. Places so special, or just plain weird, that they take on their own personalities. National Geographic scoured the United States to include just such places in its ZipUSA series.
This month visit Wichita, Kansas, where Boeing and other aviation manufacturers make it the Air Capital of the World. Other zips in the works range from a Montana town where some believe whiffing naturally occurring radon from local "health mines" is a cure for what ails them, to Greenwich, Connecticut, where great wealth and all its trappings are more the rule than the exception.
