Life-changing Experience
Photograph by Gianluca Colla

Sayoko Ogata, left, first met Okinawan centenarian Ushi Okushima five years ago. And she was so inspired by Ushi's life that she quit her labor-intensive job, got married, and had two children. "Ushi taught me that we don't need status or honor to be happy. She changed my life," Sayoko said.
